Finding your Center
Sometimes life can knock us off our feet, or throw us a curve ball that impacts our ability to continue to play the game of life to our full capacity.
As a result, our ability to process our experiences can sometimes become hindered by the echoes of the past.
For this very reason, it’s imperative that we have ways in which we can not only access, but also cultivate a strong centre.
In some Martial arts they call this the Hara, and in Eastern traditions they call this the Dantien.
This is that special little sweet spot two finger widths just below our naval.
The storehouse and reservoir of all our energy.
This is where all our movements come from, as well as the place in which all our creations and intentions are birthed through.
It is the one and only place that will process, alchemise and integrate our experiences in real time.
Let me repeat that; this is the one and only place in which we process, alchemise and integrate our experiences in real time.
If we’re not anchored in this space, then we can begin to get pulled out of the eye of the storm and into the chaos of our mind and emotions.
A simple way of connecting back into this space, is to visualise a golden ball of energy in the centre of our body just below our belly button.
Once you find this point, lock into it, hold it, breathe into it, and then from here begin to cultivate a deep relationship with it.
Your stillness, vitality and resilience will all begin to improve exponentially, and as a result, so will your relationships, projects and capacity to meet and grow through all life’s lessons and opportunities.
What is your relationship to adversity?
Can you hold your centre in the face of life’s challenges?
Can you meet discomfort with presence?
Can you breathe through pain and overwhelm when it arises?
Can you meet your edges with grace?
